Women’s Legal Issues

Despite significant gains in women’s equal treatment and the rising awareness of verbal/ physical assault against women, women continue to experience particular disadvantages in the workplace and at home. Our Women’s Legal Issues team works in the following legal areas to ensure that women are aware of their legal rights, take the right action to exercise these rights and are empowered as a result.

We are proud of our support to women to lead unoppressed lives and also of our contributions to contributions to corporations that care about creating a diverse, equal opportunity, mobbing-free environment for all their employees. At Gökkılıç, we believe societies cannot truly thrive without full equality and fair treatment of all its members and that empowered women empower social growth and create prosperity.   • Family Law

Divorce, child custody, child support, visitation rights, protection orders against abuse, custodial requests for the elderly, and wills.

Family law encompasses a wide variety of legal issues that deeply impact women, including child custody, child support, visitation rights and divorce.

Child custody, visitation rights and child support are often primary concerns of parents going through a divorce and are naturally among the most emotionally difficult legal processes in a divorce where minor children are involved. At Gökkılıç, we are very sensitive to the emotional concerns of our clients whilst protecting their rights.

 

  • Workplace Issues

Mobbing, discrimination and harassment cases are almost always emotionally charged, complex and high-stake cases. The right legal advice and the correct strategy is crucial in resolving the cases either amicably or through litigation. We have a wealth of experience in dealing with mobbing, discrimination and harassment cases. We provide pragmatic advice to our clients and vigorously safeguard their reputation and emotional well-being.

 

  • Gökkılıç Training Model

We work with corporations by providing innovative training through our Gökkılıç Training Model to create awareness on what constitutes mobbing, unequal treatment and harassment in the work place. Our training also helps the directors and HR departments of our clients to quickly recognize unacceptable workplace behavior, take appropriate legal action, avoid common pitfalls and prevent claims.

 

  • LeapHub

Our Womens’ Legal Issues team has very recently created the “LeapHub” for young female lawyers to help them deal with challenging circumstances they may face in their careers. The workshop sessions and talks in our LeapHub are open to all lawyers who would like to attend. Anonymity is strictly preserved.
